Commemorating avid gardener Mary Molina, this garden came to life with the Molina family's donation of land to the City of Long Beach for a community garden. Its development was funded by a grant obtained by the city Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine. Students from nearby Cabrillo and Jordan high schools in North Long Beach were instrumental in building the planting beds, shady arbor, and a tool shed. Other features include a custom iron fence, herb beds and native plantings. Several plots at Mary Molina are available now.
