The event will feature an informative presentation by the City of Long Beach Environmental Services Bureau, focusing on crucial topics such as food waste prevention, food donation opportunities within Long Beach, and the requirements of SB 1383 for food recovery. Following this, Food Finders will lead a discussion on the food recovery process and the significant impact of community food distribution efforts. Additionally, Long Beach Organic (LBO) will share insights into their practices for growing food specifically for distribution, offering a glimpse into the heart of local urban agriculture.
